New Plug-in Hybrid Models 2025
If you can't yet bring yourself to buy a purely electric car, you can make a good compromise with one of the numerous plug-in hybrid models. In 2025, a whole range of new hybrid models will also be launched on the market. We have put together a range of current plug-in hybrid models for you.
If you're interested in a plug-in hybrid, here are a few deals:

Plug-in hybrid models have been part of the range of many brands for several years now. With the advent of electric cars, however, plug-in hybrids have also become more of a focus again. Customers who suffer from range anxiety in particular are more likely to opt for a plug-in hybrid than an electric car. After all, you charge electricity here and still fill up with fuel.
Unfortunately, the environmental bonus for hybrid cars has expired since 2023 - if you don't want to pay the purchase price but still want to drive a hybrid, you can think about plug-in hybrid leasing.

We have a little more information about some of the most important models that will be launched soon.
Audi A5 and A5 Avant
The Audi A5 comes as a sedan and station wagon and is of course also offered as a plug-in hybrid. You will no longer be able to buy an A5 without hybrid technology, whether with a mild, full or plug-in hybrid engine.
At the market launch, there will initially be mild hybrid models. The 206 hp diesel and also the S version with 367 hp are electrified. A plug-in hybrid will very likely follow in the future – but exactly when has not yet been determined.
VW Caddy Hybrid
The VW Caddy will also be available as a plug-in hybrid version for the 2025 model year. The basis for the plug-in is the 1.5 TSI with 115 hp of power. With the built-in electric motor, the Caddy eHybrid then has 150 horsepower. The 19.5 kWh battery enables a range of 122 kilometres – you can decide before or during the journey when you want to switch on the electric motor.
With a top speed of 183 km/h, the electrified Caddy doesn't have to hide either.
Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid
In order to reduce CO2 emissions, Mitsubishi plans to increasingly rely on plug-in hybrids in the private customer sector by 2027. The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will start in 2025. With a traction battery of 22.7 kWh, the SUV can drive up to 86 kilometers purely electrically without the use of the combustion engine. The system output is 306 hp and thanks to the increased tank volume, the overall range has been improved again.
The Outlander is an important model for Mitsubishi in Europe. An electric model in the same segment is not planned in the short term, but it is certainly planned for longer.
Ford Ranger Hybrid
Even large pickups like the Ford Ranger have to adapt to the new era. That's why the Ranger will be launched as a plug-in hybrid version for the 2025 model year. Deliveries are expected to start in the summer of 2025. A 2.3-liter gasoline engine with four cylinders and an electric motor with 75 kW are said to have a system output of 279 hp in combination. This makes the Plug-in Ranger the strongest Ranger in the portfolio.
Standard all-wheel drive and a battery with a capacity of 11.8 kWh (range 50 kilometres) also make the Ranger easy to use in everyday life.
